Exhausted Havanese

Well, those humans took me to see Lola and all those gals and I was soooooooooooo excited and all they wanted to do is tell me off and run their fool heads off with me.

We had quite the crew - 13 Havanese, 1 mini schnauzer and a golden (golden is ours) all having a grand time out in the sun running and running and running their fool heads off.

They all had baths - they all got dirty except Fiona - go figure and she did play. What was that about?

Well, we will fill you in on more tomorrow. That human mom had a guest to wash tonight, one to wash tomorrow as they go home and it's zzzzzzzzzzzzzz time and yep we all sleep on the bed except the retrievers.

Don't start - we are out of room if they came on too but they have real cushy beds on the floor next to us. I (Kat) sometimes join them - well most nights I visit the bed - the floor, the bed etc cause a dawg has to do what a dawg has to do but I suspect tonight I won't move an inch and neither will those humans.

Baths and Visitors and Visits

Well that's it - they gave me a bath and although I stand there and do everything that human lady who calls herself mom wants - well I prefer the dirt.

That human used a sample shampoo/conditioner that she had and oh my gad she thinks I am now so delicious to snuggle with. I guess I did come out dreamy soft but if she hugs me one more time - well I will bark!

We have Zack and Coco here till Sunday night and we are off to Yvonne's tomorrow to visit.

The human wants to chill out and watch TV but if she does, she will surely fall asleep. That's okay! If she does we will surely jump on her and make sure she stays up late. heh

Can't Wait til Dirty Time Comes

Mommy had me oiled up and looking quite grungy but she washed me and I didn't complain till she tried to use the blower. I prefer the Oster dryer much more so.

I am trying to stay clean as we are going to Yvonne's this weekend to play and muck it up and get dirty after we get there. Then mommy can come home and do it all again - yikes!


Mommy washed one of my pack mates - Terra a retriever and boy did she blow hair around. Aren't you glad we don't do that?


Well, Zack and Coco are coming for the weekend tomorrow. Let the fun begin! What are you doing this weekend?

Dry a Havanese or Blow One Out the Door?

What type of dryer did you think you were going to use on me?

My mommy has a nice Oster dryer that is gentle on me but takes longer to dry. Some of her Havanese friends suggested she use the canister air high velocity type of dryer that is noisy, powerful and I think I can fly like Toto (figure out what movie that is from)

Well that dryer certainly gave me that stand-up look. I didn't like it but it did take less time. hmmm

I wonder what dryer she will settle on.

Crazy humans and here I thought after watching Marley and Me that she would never wash me, let me do whatever my heart desires and be a top dawg. ha!

Havanese Louis Goes Home

Louis went home today but before he did - some of the dawgs had a meeting of their minds.

Louis is that cute little thang who has been here many times over and gets excited to be here and gets excited to go home.

Louis had a real sense of play and takes every opportunity to do so.

We will miss him - till next time.

PS: Treasure was great at handling. Tomorrow the mom (me) does the b-day thing but today the dawgs spent and celebrated with me - so did that human Nathan!

Attitide of the Treasured Havanese

Oh the Treasured one just had a bath and that Mommy ran out of energy to do Kat. She'll do it on her birthday tomorrow. ROFL

The dogs are part of our lives on special days too as they should be.

Treasure is in a show in a couple of weeks and she is busy getting practice from Daddy. No matter what happens - we will be proud of our treasured one as she has that something that makes you - well us - go okay I will pay attention to you.

Off to handling class tonight and then tomorrow night. Will we be ready for our big moment? Who knows where anything can happen in the show ring.

We are missing the visitors and Louis will be gone tomorrow night. Sniff

Havanese Boarding & the Changes

Remy's family just came to pick him up and only Louis remains till the 24th. We will miss the little guy. As you can see, they (Remy, Abigail and Treasure in this photo, played their little hearts out and now our crew is fast asleep.

There's nothing better watching a bunch of Havanese in full play.

Today, for the 1st time Fiona was acting strange with strangers. It's a reminder that no matter how old they are - socialize them. We will be getting everyone and anyone to hold Miss Fiona til that strangeness is gone. The training and molding is never done.

Early Morning Adventures

Every now and then our mornings start way early and today is it.

I think Remy was so excited that he just had to get up but - it's still dark out Remy. So, off the crew went downstairs and outside and now they are playing like banshees.

Yes, we tried the 'get back to bed' business but as I said too much excitemt and beyond just being tired - I have to admit it is fun to see such joy.

Nathan is back to bed. I have the PVR going and am typing away and snapping photos of the crew playing.

Good news - they will sleep tonight. I may too or maybe I will take a nap today. ROFL

PS: Louis liked Remy's bed more than Remy last night. :-)
